Career Opportunity:

This is a challenging mid-senior level, full-time position that requires proven Australian taxation and accounting experience. As an accomplished Taxation Professional, you will be responsible for reviewing financial data, preparing annual financial statements, and completing tax returns within business timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review financial data to ensure accuracy of coding
  • Prepare annual financial statements for various entity structures
  • Complete annual tax returns within business deadlines
  • Support with bookkeeping duties and BAS lodgment as required

Requirements:

  • Australian taxation and accounting experience is essential
  • 6 years' experience with a public practice/accounting firm offering Australian taxation services is required
  • Knowledge and experience in accounting for companies, partnerships and trusts, including preparation of financial statements and annual tax returns
  • Strong working experience with Xero, XPM and other various accounting systems
  • Xero Certified is required
  • Solid understanding of the Australian GST system (including BAS and IAS)
  • Familiarity with Office 365, Karbon, and SuperMate is desirable
  • Qualified Accountant/CPA highly advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have great attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow process/system
  • Must be proactive, highly organised and self-motivated
  • Motivated to continue learning and progressing in their career
