Pricing Optimization Associate, Position Overview

Pricing Strategy Role

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Pricing Optimization Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining pricing strategies that drive profitability and market competitiveness.

About the Job

You will collaborate across marketing, finance, and product teams to develop and implement data-driven pricing strategies that support business growth, customer segmentation, and vendor alignment. Your work will ensure that pricing decisions are accurate, compliant, and responsive to market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Pricing Operations: Develop and maintain pricing strategies, ensuring accuracy and compliance through data management, audits, and vendor/product configurations.
  2. Project Administration: Support pricing-related projects by testing internal platforms, analyzing current methods, and organizing data from multiple sources.
  3. Subject Matter Expert: Contribute to process improvement by creating and maintaining documentation, developing Excel templates for pricing requests, and identifying opportunities to enhance existing methods and tools.
  4. Administrative Management: Handle operational support tasks such as creating macro files, documenting meeting outcomes, managing workload allocation, and coordinating with in-country partners to ensure alignment and awareness of updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Econometrics.
  • Around 2 years of experience in marketing or finance, preferably in pricing.
  • Moderate understanding of finance and accounting terminology, including margin calculation.
  • Familiarity with price optimization and elasticity models.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills across teams and stakeholders.
  • Technical competencies: Moderate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, beginner to intermediate SQL and VBA/Macros skills, and experience with Business Objects (Magellan) preferred.
