Build a new Shopify site from scratch, transfer and organize existing content, configure navigation and collections, set up reliable automations, document workflows, and apply design improvements to increase readability and conversion. Responsibilities
  • Develop a tailored Shopify theme aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Move and arrange content from the old website, including pages, FAQs, sponsor highlights, and event details.
  • Set up site navigation, collections, and essential pages for clarity and ease of use.
  • Establish light automations tied to key site actions, such as contact/sponsor interest forms and ticket confirmation messaging.
  • Configure integrations as needed to reduce manual processes.
  • Document automation flows for efficient client handover.
  • Enhance design elements to boost readability, mobile responsiveness, and conversion without overcomplicating the build.
  • Optimize page layouts for event highlights, sponsors, FAQs, and calls-to-action.
  • Ensure consistent styling aligned with brand tone; prioritize function over heavy redesign.
  • Test cross-browser/mobile responsiveness, page speed basics, forms, and checkout/app flows.
  • Launch the site safely with a rollback plan and clear go-live checklist.
  • Provide brief post-launch support for fixes and polish.
Qualifications
  • Proven expertise in Shopify development with a portfolio showcasing live builds.
  • End-to-end website creation experience, including theme setup, content migration, and launch.
  • Hands-on experience implementing simplified automations within Shopify.
  • Strong front-end skills for customization and troubleshooting.
  • Availability for a 2–3 week project-based engagement at 20 hours per week.

  • Required to provide own computer with capable specifications.
Working Hours & Compensation
  • 20 hours per week.
  • Compensation: $6 per hour.
