Software Engineering Specialist Role

The role of the Software Engineering Specialist is to identify and resolve complex customer problems related to open source software, including Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, and Kubernetes. This position requires close collaboration with Canonical's Field, Support, and product engineering teams to achieve shared goals.

  • Identify and resolve complex customer problems related to open source software

  • Review code produced by other engineers to ensure high-quality standards

  • Participate in team discussions to improve processes, tools, and documentation
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with technical and non-technical stakeholders
