Financial Controller Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to manage our company's financial operations. This is a hands-on role responsible for recording daily transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing monthly financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all filing requirements.

The successful candidate will have strong accounting knowledge and experience with cloud-based accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero. They will also be comfortable working with payment processors, merchant accounts, and multi-channel sales data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily Bookkeeping & Transaction Management: Record all financial transactions, including sales, expenses, payroll entries, and inventory adjustments.
  • Bank, Credit Card, and Payment Processor Reconciliation: Reconcile bank, credit card, and payment processor accounts monthly.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Record and reconcile intercompany transfers, charges, and loans.
  • Monthly Close & Financial Reporting: Perform complete month-end close for each entity and prepare P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements by the agreed timeline.
  • Compliance & Tax Coordination: Maintain accurate sales tax records and file returns on schedule.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor daily cash balances and upcoming obligations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a multi-entity environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar cloud-based accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
