Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our team at 24x7-direct.

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for reviewing financial data, preparing annual financial statements, and completing annual tax returns.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Australian taxation and accounting, with a strong understanding of the GST system and Xero Certification.

You will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be highly organized and self-motivated.

This is a full-time remote position, requiring discipline and commitment to set working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review financial data and prepare annual financial statements
  • Complete annual tax returns within business timeframes
  • Assist with bookkeeping duties and BAS lodgment (where required)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Australian taxation and accounting experience is essential
  • Xero Certification is mandatory
  • Strong working experience with Xero, XPM and other various accounting systems
  • Solid understanding of the Australian GST system (including BAS and IAS)
