Job Overview

Tax Accountant Position

We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant with expertise in Australian taxation who can deliver high-quality tax return preparation and provide mentorship to junior staff.

  • The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation, proficiency in Xero and XPM, and a background in FYIDocs.
Key Responsibilities

As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing accurate and efficient tax returns, including company and trust tax returns, Fringe Benefits Tax calculations, Capital Gains Tax event management, Division 7A loan compliance, and structuring.
  • Mentoring and collaborating with our offshore bookkeeping team to ensure seamless communication and consistency in our operations.
  • Providing support in business activity statements (BAS) preparation and bookkeeping processes to ensure quality and efficiency across our operations.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation.
  • Proficiency in Xero and XPM.
  • A background in FYIDocs is advantageous.
  • Highly accurate with a sharp eye for detail.
  • An excellent communicator who can train and guide junior or offshore staff.
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal supervision.
