Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the development of children's books from concept to publication.
    • Build relationships with freelancers, including illustrators and ghostwriters.
    • Ensure timely delivery of projects by monitoring timelines and deadlines.
  • Content Support:
    • Review and provide actionable feedback on drafts to ensure high-quality content.
    • Maintain organized book-related files and documentation for seamless access.
  • Marketing & Advertising Assistance:
    • Support promotional efforts through advertising, content preparation, and outreach initiatives.
    • Contribute to marketing campaign strategy and execution across online platforms.
  • Publishing Support:
    • Research best practices for self-publishing platforms (e.g., Amazon KDP).
    • Assist in formatting and preparing manuscripts for publication, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
    • Monitor royalties, sales, and promotional results for data-driven decision making.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field (children's publishing is an asset).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Experience working with creatives such as illustrators and writers.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a passion for delivering results.
  • Comfortable working independently in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Familiarity with children's book content and trends is a plus.
Nice-to-Have
  • Knowledge of publishing platforms like KDP or IngramSpark.
  • Basic proficiency in graphic design tools or book formatting software.
