About This Role

We are seeking a skilled and accomplished professional to prepare and file tax obligations for our clients in Australia. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for guiding clients through their accounting journey and engaging with them during tax return preparation.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a variety of clients, including companies, individuals, and trusts, and to utilise your expertise in financial statements and tax returns preparation.

In this role, you will also handle regulatory submissions such as Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR), and other ad-hoc compliance obligations. It is essential to stay updated on financial and taxation regulations to ensure compliance across accounting and taxation services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Financial Statements and Tax Returns: Prepare accurate financial statements and tax returns for sole traders, companies, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Regulatory Submissions: Handle regulatory submissions such as Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR), and other ad-hoc compliance obligations.
  • Staying Updated: Stay updated on financial and taxation regulations to ensure compliance across accounting and taxation services.
  • Client Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients to provide updates and address queries.
  • Timely Lodgement: Ensure on-time lodgement of tax returns, regulatory submissions, and other compliance documents.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other accounting and tax-related tasks as assigned, including support for audits or advisory services.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 Years Experience: A minimum of 3 years experience as an Australian Tax Accountant is required.
  • Collaborative Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment is essential.
