Seeking a seasoned finance leader to oversee the entire financial accounting function. This pivotal role offers flexibility to work from home and collaborates closely with the leadership team in Australia to provide critical financial insights that drive business forward.

This comprehensive position entails leading end-to-end general ledger processes, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, journal entries, and reconciliations. You will be responsible for overseeing key financial activities, enhancing financial systems, and managing external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and consultants.

Responsibilities
  • Strategize and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial systems, driving continuous improvement and ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives and drive business growth.
  • Provide expert financial guidance and support to stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in finance, with a strong background supporting Australian businesses.
  • Bachelor degree in commerce and/or accounting and CPA qualification.
  • At least 10 years of experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager, supporting an Australian-based business.
  • Thorough knowledge of Australian payroll and GST legislation.
  • Proven ability to manage offshore teams and build relationships with stakeholders across a business.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
