Job Summary

Expert Tax Accountant Opportunity

The Expert Tax Accountant will play a pivotal role in supporting clients with their financial needs, handling various tasks, and managing projects.

  • Deliver high-quality tax services, including preparing financial statements for lodgement with the relevant authorities.
  • Prepare Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements for timely submission.
  • Maintain the general ledger by processing transactions, reconciling entries, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Prepare private tax returns, trust, partnership tax returns, and End of year compliance jobs efficiently.
  • Display expertise in Division 7a loans and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Meet deadlines for tax filings and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and update tax provision schedules to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and resolve process errors that may cause incorrect tax filings and negotiate with tax authorities as needed.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accountants, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and team growth.

About You

  • Graduate of Accountancy or Accounting Technology; Advantage if CPA licensed.
  • Proven experience in AU tax accounting, with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Leadership skills and a desire to lead the team.
  • Advantage if experienced in an accounting/audit firm.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
