Accounting Specialist

The position requires overseeing the General Accounting function, including closing, reconciling, and analyzing the general ledger.


Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual period closings to ensure timely completion.
  • Verify the accuracy of journal entries and maintain subsidiary ledgers for balance sheet account reviews and reconciliations.
  • Manage accounting system administration, cost center, and GL account master data maintenance, customer, and vendor master data maintenance, invoicing, accruals, and restatements.
  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced accountants in the department.

Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; 4 years of experience in General Accounting in a multinational company; prior experience involving statutory accounting principles and developing automated systems; or any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background. CPA or MBA preferred.
