Job Description

As a cashier, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and handling cash transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Collect payments and make change accurately by performing basic math functions.
  • Operate registers, scanners, scales, and credit card/debit card terminals to process transactions.
  • Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Accept payments, verify prices and quantities, and provide receipts to customers.
  • Handle exchanges and refunds promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer and keep the checkout area clean and organized.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in business or any 4-year course.
  • Sufficient background in cashiering, preferably with POS experience.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar industry.
