General Accounting Coordinator

As a General Accounting Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of general ledger accounts. Key responsibilities include creating journal entries based on financial information, maintaining knowledge of direct and indirect taxes, and assisting with tax return filing.

You will work closely with the Tax department to ensure compliance with GM Corporate policies and external regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX/Internal Control Requirements, as well as experience working with SAP and other GM systems.

This is a hybrid role that requires frequent contact with others outside of the work group to accomplish tasks. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, as well as strong written and oral communication abilities.

We are looking for a highly technical professional who can drive process improvements to enhance quality accounting and compliance.
