Key Data Engineering Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building robust, scalable data pipelines across various platforms and sources.

  • Drive the entire lifecycle of designing and building robust, scalable data pipelines across diverse platforms and sources.
  • Enhance the data infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Perform in-depth code reviews and offer feedback to uphold best practices and high coding standards.
  • Support the development of other data engineers through mentoring and technical guidance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data needs and deliver effective engineering solutions.
  • Resolve complex data challenges, ensuring data integrity, availability, and consistency.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or backend data systems development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Data Pipeline Orchestration and Workflow Management
  • Apache Airflow: Popular for scheduling and monitoring complex data pipelines.
  • Prefect: Modern orchestration tool gaining adoption.
  • Apache NiFi, Talend, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory: ETL tools for data integration and transformation
  • DataDog or similar tools for tracking and monitoring data pipelines
  • DevOps and CI/CD Tools: Docker, Git, CircleCI (or other CI/CD pipelines) for containerization, version control, and automated deployments
  • Experience in building data solutions at enterprise scale
