We are seeking a seasoned Alternative Energy Business Developer to join our team.

As an Alternative Energy Business Developer, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying leads, developing and expanding channel partnering agreements, and managing the sales pipeline to ensure timely follow-ups and conversions.

Main Tasks:

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, and develop strategic plans to achieve annual capacity and increase revenue.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present high-level proposals, term sheets, and PPA contracts to potential clients, and customize solutions that meet client needs and align with company offerings.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders, and work closely with the marketing team to align business development efforts with marketing awareness and lead generation campaigns.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term business strategies to achieve annual capacity and increase revenue, and provide feedback on marketing materials and initiatives based on client interactions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in delivering high-value energy projects on time and to budget, with at least 5 years of experience in creating persuasive business development propositions relating to technology-based products and solutions.
  • Experience understanding of PPAs, Grid Connection Agreements, EPC and O&M contracts, and solar power project development, including land acquisition, grid interconnection, and permitting.
  • Advanced level in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint, with proficiency in Excel-based programming and financial modeling.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with prior work experience in a renewable industry, corporate finance, or investment banking firm preferred.
