About this role

As a Tax Manager, you will play a key part in our compliance function. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to lead a team.

  • Oversee staff and review tax returns prepared by the team.
  • Prepare and review complex individual and business returns (1120, 1120s, 1065, not for profit, 1041s).
  • Assist staff with diagnosing issues in preparation in the software.
  • Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and oversight to junior team members.
  • Communicate directly with clients to obtain missing information and provide updates.
  • Able to respond to notices received from tax authorities.
  • Versatile and organized in nature, able to adapt to changing client and partner needs.
About you
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
  • Deep knowledge of US Federal and state tax laws and regulations essential.
  • Experience with forms 1120, 1120s, 1065, 1040, 1041, and not for profit return preparation and review necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products required.
  • ProSeries experience beneficial.
  • Ability to manage a team and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills required.
