Senior Financial Specialist Job

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for completing all types of accounting work where required for clients, including Business Activity Statements, Income Statement Audits, Fringe Benefits Tax, Foreign Tax Credit, DIV 7A, Tax Returns for Individuals, Companies, Trusts and Partnerships, Pay As You Go Instalments, Payroll Tax, Payroll - Full scope of wages, Group Certificates, Superannuation compliance and other tasks as directed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Complete all types of accounting work where required for clients such as (but not limited to: BAS, IAS, FBT, FTC, DIV7A, Tax Returns for Individuals, Companies, Trusts and Partnerships, TPAR, Payroll Tax, Payroll - Full scope of wages, Group Certificates, Superannuation compliance)
  • Assist other Accountants with their queries in relation to all the above
  • Manage and review other Accountants and their workload at a higher level that is in line with Australian accounting standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • At least 3+ years in Australian accounting experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Intermediate to Advanced Xero software skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to lead a small team and review work from other staff
