Job Overview

This position plays a pivotal role in the company's contractor relationships, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies for optimal efficiency across all aspects of contractor management.

Main Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develops and implements contractor management strategies, including policies, procedures, and processes for managing contractors effectively.
  • Provides expert guidance and training to teams, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to excel in contractor management.
  • Supports various teams by offering advice, resolving issues, and ensuring consistent application of best practices.
  • Contract Management: Oversees the entire contract lifecycle from negotiation to execution, monitoring, and termination, ensuring all parties adhere to their contractual obligations.
  • Evaluates contract compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and regulatory guidelines, minimizing legal risks and ensuring adherence.
  • Negotiates contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Monitors contract performance and identifies potential issues to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Manages contract risks, including financial, legal, and operational risks.
  • Performance Management and Optimization: Assesses contractor performance, provides constructive feedback, and supports improvement to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Fosters strong, collaborative relationships with contractors, building trust to ensure smooth project execution and long-term partnerships.
  • Identifies opportunities for cost savings and efficiency by analyzing contract data and performance metrics.
  • Compliance and Legal: Ensures contracts comply with relevant laws and regulations, working closely with legal teams to review and interpret contracts.
  • Maintains accurate and accessible contract documentation for audit purposes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Possession of an MBA or other relevant qualification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management, preferably in real estate or construction.
  • A minimum of 5 years of people management experience.
  • A well-established network of suppliers/contractors in the real estate/construction industry.
  • A proven track record in contractor and supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and savings.
