Business Development Manager Job

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Southeast Asia.

About the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity for a results-driven professional to expand our LANGUAGECERT portfolio across the region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, with experience in the language testing, education, EdTech, or certification sectors. They will possess excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work across diverse cultural contexts and multi-country portfolios.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for LANGUAGECERT in Southeast Asia through direct sales and channel partnerships
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of leads and key accounts
  • Forge and nurture high-impact relationships with senior decision-makers in language education and assessment
  • Develop go-to-market strategies tailored to each country's unique language education landscape
  • Ensure market penetration and brand awareness of LANGUAGECERT certifications in both public and private sectors

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Sales growth and revenue increase
  • Expansion of LANGUAGECERT portfolio across the region
  • Establishment of strong partnerships and networks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (Postgraduate qualification is a plus)
  • 10+ years' experience in business development, ideally in the language testing, education, EdTech, or certification sectors
  • Proven success in consultative B2B sales and partnership development
  • Deep understanding of the language learning and assessment landscape in Southeast Asia, including key stakeholders, regulatory environments, and market trends
  • Experience in working across diverse cultural contexts and multi-country portfolios
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Fluency in English (C2 level); proficiency in any major Southeast Asian language is a plus
