Senior Systems Administrator Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • System Resource Management: Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
  • Security Administration: Perform systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
  • Hardware and Software Installation: Install system-wide software and allocate mass storage space as needed.
  • User Interaction: Interact with users and evaluate vendor products to ensure compatibility and performance.
  • Purchase Recommendations: Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinate installation and provide backup recovery.
  • Policy Development: Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Top Secret Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with a CI Poly is required.
Work Environment:
  • Location: District of Columbia (DC), National Capital Region (NCR)
  • Type of environment: Varies
  • Noise level: Low
  • Work schedule: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week within standard hours , Monday-Friday, excluding Federal holidays; evenings and weekends may be required to meet program and contract needs.
  • Travel: 20%
