Freight Operations Specialist

This pivotal role is at the heart of our operations, ensuring exceptional customer service for US customers. As a remote logistics expert, you will oversee customer shipments from PO raised to delivery, collaborating closely with Customer Success Managers, Sales, Pricing and Procurement teams.

You will be responsible for executing the end-to-end movement of our customer product through our network (both imports and exports), including intermodal movements. You will understand and follow customer requirements through their standard operating procedures (SOP). As customer needs evolve, you will refine operational requirements by working with Customer Success Managers to update SOPs.

You will address customer escalations, collaborating with Customer Success Managers to resolve issues quickly and ensure smooth operations at origin and destination. You will handle complex client issues that require advanced industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guarantee seamless shipment execution and timely delivery.
  • Execute end-to-end movement of customer products through our network.
  • Understand and follow customer requirements through SOPs.
  • Respond to customer escalations and collaborate with Customer Success Managers to resolve issues.
Required Skills:
  • Ability to escalate or de-escalate situations effectively.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Able to react quickly while maintaining focus and attention to detail.

This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
