Cloud Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • About the Job:
    • The Cloud Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure cloud environments to support our applications and services.
    • The successful candidate will drive our cloud strategy and ensure the efficient and secure operation of our cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Architecture:
    • Design and implement cloud architectures, particularly with AWS.
    • Administer AWS services such as ECS, CloudFront, CloudFormation/Terraform, CloudWatch, IAM, and more.
  • Continuous Deployment (CD):
    • Develop and maintain automated pipelines, integrating various tools to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Containers:
    • Manage and support container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, enhancing scalability and flexibility.
  • Observability:
    • Implement Application Performance Monitoring (APM) solutions such as New Relic.
    • Expertise in components like CloudWatch, CloudWatch Events and Alarms, syslogs, and other cloud analytics tools.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
    • Automate repetitive tasks using IaC principles with tools like Terraform, streamlining the deployment of containers and EC2 instances.
  • Release Management:
    • Support developers with release issues, build automated release frameworks, integrate test automation into CI/CD processes, and ensure seamless code releases.
  • Security:
    • Understand and apply AWS security best practices to protect infrastructure from potential threats.
  • IT Operations:
    • Strong troubleshooting skills, effective server resource management, and database management knowledge (SQL and NoSQL databases).
    • Experience with Linux and Windows servers.
  • Automation:
    • Expertise in scripting languages and automation technologies such as AWS Lambda, CloudWatch, and SNS for event-driven patterns.
