This opportunity allows professionals to join our Cost Management team, working on diverse projects focused on sustainability and resilience.

You will be responsible for multiple projects from global to local, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery. Your expertise in planning, estimation, budgeting, and cost management drives growth and efficiency.

This role is part of our Resilience division. We strive to safeguard the environment, resources, and future generations. Climate change, urbanisation, and biodiversity loss challenge us worldwide. Large-scale events like floods and wildfires occur more frequently.

Main responsibilities:

  • Independently monitor and review project costs and variances using established systems on small commercial/regeneration/residential projects to control cost variables.
  • Manage small to medium-scale cost projects or significant aspects of cost management assignments, meeting set deadlines.
  • Comply with business risk and report project concerns or issues to senior managers to prevent adverse impacts.
  • Advise colleagues on risk management principles, ensuring adherence to organisational risk and compliance processes.
  • Analyse and review data to identify trends and create documentation, providing advice and recommendations for cost and commercial management decisions.
  • Review and analyse existing cost and commercial management processes and policies, sharing knowledge and participating in service improvement and innovation.
  • Interact with internal and external customers, applying technical knowledge to complete complex tasks and meet customer expectations.
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance within the area, supporting others with cost management queries and sharing knowledge for informed colleagues and excellent client service.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to understand their needs, resolving stakeholder issues, and providing quality client care, contributing to ongoing client satisfaction.
  • Support leading small to medium-sized cost projects or provide significant cost management elements, following project scope and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or relevant field.
  • Professional certification or working towards chartered status.
  • Delivering analysis and insights experience.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of specialised field, including construction processes and cost and commercial management.
  • Self-management, prioritisation, and pressure handling skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, influencing stakeholders and third parties.
  • Capable of completing projects from start to finish.
