Job Description:

As a highly skilled bookkeeper, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. You will utilize accounting software and spreadsheets to ensure the smooth operation of our company's financial processes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a quick learning ability. You will be expected to adapt to different software, processes, and multi-process operations while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy.

You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy and timely compliance with company policies and procedures. Your role will involve reconciliations and month-end processing, including reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.

Additionally, you will maintain fixed asset registers, process invoices, and send statements. You will also be responsible for managing unpaid supplier invoices and maintaining creditor files.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, including data preparation, routine work, and additional tasks as required. Your expertise will be valued and utilized to drive business growth and development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in NZ bookkeeping
  • Formal accounting qualifications such as a Diploma in Accounting or bachelor's degree
  • Proficiency in Xero, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
