Audit Senior - Remote Job Description


This role oversees audits from fieldwork through to final reports, ensuring high-quality results at every stage. The position involves guiding and supporting junior team members while keeping projects on track.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate financial statements and audit reports that meet the highest professional standards.
  • Plan each audit thoroughly to ensure the team is well-prepared for success.
  • Brief team members on key risks so everyone has a clear understanding of what to expect.
  • Meet with clients to discuss their information and build strong working relationships.
  • Create organizational systems to keep track of documents and ensure smooth audits.
  • Update planning sections of the audit file to keep audits running smoothly.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and CPA qualification are required; UK audit experience is preferred.
  • 4+ years' external statutory audit experience is necessary.
  • Ideally trained at a top-tier audit firm.
  • Audit exposure across multiple industries (preferably outside banking/financial services) is desired.
  • Experience in developing audit strategies and terms of engagement is essential.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS, Irish GAAP, UK GAAP (including FRS 102), and current technical updates is required.
