Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Experimental Rater to support the development, testing, and refinement of AI rating guidelines during early-stage pilot projects. This role is ideal for advanced raters with strong critical thinking skills, a passion for ambiguity resolution, and an interest in the intersection of language, logic, and AI development.

As an Experimental Rater, you will go beyond standard data labeling to identify gray areas in guidelines, flag ambiguous or edge-case examples with attention to linguistic nuance and rating logic, and offer structured feedback that engineers and clients can act on.

  • Participate in new guideline pilot projects by reviewing ambiguous or edge-case examples with attention to linguistic nuance and rating logic.
  • Identify inconsistencies, unclear instructions, or subjective interpretation risks in evolving rating criteria.
  • Surface detailed insights about rating complexity, user intent confusion, and contextual mismatches that can inform guideline updates.
  • Translate technical or abstract rating experiences into clear feedback for client and engineering stakeholders.
  • Contribute to presentations, data summaries, or insight write-ups that explain rater interpretation trends or rating difficulties.
