Real Estate Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional with expertise in real estate accounting. This role involves managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain financial records for real estate properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Utilize software for financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper recording of transactions
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of real estate assets
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to provide financial insights and support
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial data
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in real estate accounting
  • Proficiency in software and other accounting tools
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and real estate finance
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Skills:
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification
  • Experience with tax preparation and compliance
  • Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
