Strategic Benefits Consultant Role

This is a career-defining opportunity for an experienced Workday certified benefits consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering innovative solutions and effective support for client's Workday technology.

As a strategic benefits consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on Workday HCM product suite with a deep focus on U.S. benefits. Your role will involve leading deployment teams, coaching others, gathering and documenting client business requirements, designing and configuring the Workday solution, demonstrating configurations through prototype systems, assisting in testing, completing knowledge transfer, and facilitating clients' intellectual and practical adoption of Workday best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in Workday HCM product suite with a deep focus on U.S. benefits.
  • Lead deployment teams or coach others to successfully gather and document client business requirements, design and configure the Workday solution, demonstrate configurations through prototype systems, assist in testing, and complete knowledge transfer.
  • Work with confidential client/data conversion team to help convert legacy data into Workday.
  • Assist integration consulting team in configuring and testing integrations between Workday and other third-party or custom solutions.
  • Mentor new consultants and serve as a professional role model.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, collaborate effectively, and synergistically to team-based projects.
  • Work with team members to address complex tasks/requirements when other team members need support.
  • Facilitate clients' intellectual and practical adoption of Workday best practices.
  • Maintain clients' ongoing satisfaction, ensuring we are referenceable and referable once in production.
  • Provide regular status reports to project managers keeping them apprised of overall project status.
  • Innovate and suggest new approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain Workday certifications and qualifications.
  • Ensure functional solutions are compatible with downstream data translation.
  • Demonstrate computational thinking, identify problem components, analyze patterns, remove inefficient configurations or processes, and construct algorithmic solutions scalable to ongoing client needs.

Benefits and Qualifications:

  • Current Workday Benefits Certification.
  • 4+ years configuring and implementing a combination of HCM/Benefits Solutions.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous consulting experience with a consulting/software company.
  • Previous experience deploying Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, Ultimate, or similar applications.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Functional experience in one or more of the following areas: HCM/Benefits.
  • Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to effectively manage against timelines and goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.
  • Experience deploying multiple HCM/Benefits projects simultaneously a plus.
