Job Overview

This role represents the organization in sales efforts, promoting its services to Registered Investment Advisors. You will be responsible for securing new clients or expanding existing ones, depending on the territory.

You will collaborate with sales management to develop and implement territory sales strategies, enhance sales performance, and retain assets. You will also represent the organization and its products to advisors, enabling them to identify benefits and cross-sell offerings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop novel revenue opportunities and capitalize on referrals to increase sales in the territory.
  • Contact RIA firms and their advisors to provide additional information, obtain feedback, and utilize needs-based selling techniques.
  • Maintain excellent customer service with RIA firms and their advisors.
  • Create and maintain critical contact relationships with firms involved in distribution to the same market.
  • Monitor and analyze daily/weekly/quarterly sales goals and activity reports.
  • Participate in ongoing training to maintain current knowledge of markets and industry developments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional knowledge of financial services offerings and company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact, listen, influence, and partner in a professional manner with high-level decision-makers.
  • Leadership skills to provide a positive work environment and motivate staff.
  • Strong sales skills required: negotiation, persuasion, up-selling, closing, follow-up, relationship building, and networking.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Obtain Industry Certification.
  • Series 65 license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field-based territory sales position selling financial services offerings to Registered Investment Advisors.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience building and maintaining a customer account base.
