Key Support Role

The ideal candidate for this Mortgage Support position has strong experience in administrative support, loan processing, and client coordination.

This role is a key support function for an Australian finance broking firm accredited by the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia. The successful candidate will have a proven background in mortgage documentation, compliance, and lender communication, ensuring every step of the loan process runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loan Application Processing

    Assist in gathering and verifying client documents, prepare and submit loan applications to lenders, and follow up with banks and clients to track loan progress.

  • Client Communication

    Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, answer inquiries, provide updates, coordinate with lenders and underwriters, and educate clients on the mortgage process.

  • Compliance and Documentation

    Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory and lender guidelines, conduct preliminary assessments, and stay up to date with industry regulations and lending policies.

  • Administrative Tasks

    Schedule appointments, manage the mortgage broker's calendar, prepare and send loan estimates and disclosures, and assist in marketing efforts.

Requirements
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in Australian mortgage broking support or back-office loan processing.
  • Solid track record in preparing, submitting, and tracking loan applications for Australian lenders and aggregators.
  • Experienced in handling full loan life cycle – from document collection and compliance checks to settlement coordination.
  • Familiar with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong command of professional English (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate confidently with Australian clients and stakeholders.
  • Able to build rapport, explain mortgage processes simply, and manage multiple active loan files.
  • Reliable high-speed internet with backup connection and a quiet home office environment conducive to professional communication and confidentiality.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (preferred but not essential with strong industry experience).
