**Job Title:** Construction Estimator

Virtual Assist is seeking skilled and detail-oriented professionals to fill the role of Construction Estimator. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for construction projects.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with estimating software. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to provide accurate and competitive bids.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  1. Review architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications.
  2. Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work.
  3. Analyze historical data and pricing trends to improve the accuracy of estimates.
  4. Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors.
  5. Develop and maintain a database of unit costs, productivity rates, and supplier pricing.
  6. Participate in bid reviews and risk analysis discussions.
  7. Coordinate with project managers to transition awarded projects into production smoothly.
  8. Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies.
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all estimates

Key Qualifications include:

  1. Proven experience as a Construction Estimator (3+ years preferred).
  2. Experience with estimating in residential, commercial, civil, or industrial construction.
  3. Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating).
  4. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  5. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
  6. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
