Job Title: Jira Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Jira administrator to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert-level support for Jira Software and Jira Service Management, including administration, configuration, and troubleshooting. They will also be expected to design and optimize workflows, fields, screens, and automation rules to reduce manual effort and improve overall efficiency.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Atlassian Administration: User, group, role, and permission management; routine maintenance, upgrades, and backups.
  • Workflow & Automation: Design and optimize workflows, fields, screens, and automation rules to reduce manual effort.
  • Project Configuration & Reporting: Create/maintain projects, boards, dashboards, filters, and actionable reports.
  • Billing & Cost Optimisation: Track licenses, reconcile invoices, right-size tiers, and recommend savings on apps and subscriptions.
  • Integration & Add-ons: Evaluate, implement, and maintain Marketplace apps; integrate Jira with CI/CD, chat, and other business tools.
  • User Support & Training: Provide second-line support, run training sessions, and maintain clear documentation and knowledge articles.
  • Governance & Continuous Improvement: Ensure security and compliance, document configurations, and champion ongoing process improvements.

Requirements:

  • At least 2+ years of proven experience in Jira administration (cloud).
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and ITSM principles.
  • Experience managing SaaS licenses, budgets, or cost-control initiatives.
  • Scripting and automation skills (Groovy, Jira Automation, REST API) and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent English communication skills and ability to train non-technical users.

Preferred Skills:

  • Atlassian certification(s) in Jira Software / Jira Service Management or willingness to obtain quickly.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
