Customer Service Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Customer Service Specialist to handle inbound and outbound customer service initiatives. The successful candidate will handle incoming inquiries, proactively reach out to existing customers, and promote new products and services while delivering exceptional service.

The role involves working with a range of clients across various industries. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for resolving customer issues on the first call through effective problem-solving, researching and retrieving information across systems to support customer needs, and accurately documenting interactions and process claims.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling inbound and outbound calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Resolving customer issues on the first call through effective problem-solving.

  • Guiding customers through options to find the best solutions.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have prior call center experience, work from home experience, and a strong command of the English language. You should also possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to multitask and self-manage effectively, and be skilled in troubleshooting and follow-up.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, previous call center experience, work from home experience, a typing speed of 20+ WPM, high speed internet connection, and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Familiarity with Windows operating systems is also preferred.
