Job Title: Real Estate Financial ManagerJob Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced financial professional to join our team as a Real Estate Financial Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records for real estate properties, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Utilize Appfolio software for financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Analyze and prepare financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports to inform business decisions.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Reconcile bank statements and verify proper recording of transactions to maintain financial integrity.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of real estate assets to drive business growth.
  • Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations to minimize liability.
  • Collaborate with property managers and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support to drive business success.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial data and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Support audits and provide necessary documentation and information to ensure a smooth process.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in real estate accounting and finance.
  • Proficiency in Appfolio software and other accounting tools.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and real estate finance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to drive business growth.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data to maintain accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) to facilitate productivity.
Preferred Skills:
  • CPA certification to demonstrate expertise in accounting and finance.
  • Experience with tax preparation and compliance to minimize liability.
  • Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive business success.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
