Java Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Mid to Senior Java Developer with expertise in modern Java development, cloud architecture, and enterprise-grade software solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering high-performance, scalable applications using Spring Boot.

Location: Colombia - Remote work arrangements available.

Language: Advanced English proficiency required.

Timezone: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Colombian time zone).

Experience: 4-7 years of professional Java development experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality Java applications using Spring Boot.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complex software solutions.
  • Implement and maintain microservices architecture on the AWS cloud platform.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code adhering to industry best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technology roadmap planning.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency with Spring Boot framework and associated ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, and IAM.
  • Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL optimization.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of software design patterns and clean code principles.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Financial services industry experience.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and secure coding standards.
  • Experience with performance testing and optimization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
