About the Job

Seeking an experienced Mid to Senior Java Developer to join our growing engineering team, building scalable enterprise applications that serve millions of users.

This role involves designing and developing high-performance, scalable Java applications using Spring Boot, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions, implementing and maintaining microservices architecture on AWS cloud platform, and contributing to architectural decisions and technology roadmap planning.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern Java development, cloud architecture, and enterprise-grade software solutions.

Location: Remote - Must be in Colombia. Language: Advanced English (B2/C1+). Timezone: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Colombian holidays follow).


About You
  • 4–7 years of professional Java development experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Spring Boot framework and Spring ecosystem (Security, Data JPA, Cloud).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, and IAM.
  • Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL optimization.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and clean code principles.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies.

We Prefer
  • Financial services industry experience (banking, payments, trading, or fintech).
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements (PCI DSS, SOX, etc.).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (ELK stack, DataDog).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and secure coding standards.
  • Experience with performance testing and optimization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
