Job Description

The Global Category Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the procurement of assigned categories, ensuring materials standards are met and managing outside vendors. This includes developing category strategies for sourcing finished goods and raw materials, identifying primary cost drivers, and understanding global market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure assigned categories in accordance with company standards and procedures.
  • Develop and implement category strategies to drive cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Analyze market conditions, identify trends, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve program and project cost goals.
  • Participate in supplier selections, ISO audits, and other procurement-related activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed as a Global Category Procurement Specialist, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
