Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Plant Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of plant equipment, including seawater desalination and treatment systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks on plant equipment.
  • Responsible for operation, maintenance, and repair of seawater desalination and treatment system.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on reverse osmosis units, pumps, valves, piping systems, water monitoring equipment, and all auxiliary equipment as required.
  • Complete maintenance records and maintain operating logbooks and databases as required.
  • Maintain control of plant tools, manuals, repair parts, assemblies, and consumables.
  • Work closely with the Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) and coordinate in ordering repair and/or spare parts, maintenance parts, assemblies, and consumables.
  • Train Water Plant Operators on mechanical equipment as directed.
  • Comply with applicable Safety, Environment, Health, and Waste Management policies and procedures.
  • Monitor liquid nitrogen production equipment.
  • Monitor and perform preventive maintenance on waste heat recovery system and components.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Skills: Strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair, with experience working with plant equipment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
