Job Summary:

  • Coding and billing expert with extensive experience in primary care services, adept at applying ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Patient chart reviewer, responsible for verifying the accuracy and completeness of coding and documentation.
  • Coding auditor, tasked with identifying areas for improvement and ensuring adherence to established coding standards.
  • Collaborative team player, working closely with physicians and clinical staff to clarify documentation and coding requirements, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Strategic thinker, staying up-to-date on changes in coding regulations, payer requirements, and industry standards to maintain optimal reimbursement.
  • Mentor and trainer, leading internal training sessions to enhance team knowledge and skills, promoting excellence in coding best practices.
  • Data analyst, generating and analyzing reports to monitor performance, identify trends, and inform decision-making processes.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in medical coding for primary care services.
  • Profound understanding of medical coding guidelines and regulations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and coding software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
