At MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, we are seeking a highly skilled Account Receivable Professional to maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely collections.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and circulate customer outstanding statements to facilitate prompt payment.
  • Develop and manage customer accounts receivable ageing reports to identify potential issues.
  • Conduct thorough customer follow-ups to recover outstanding balances and provide exceptional support to resolve disputes.
  • Maintain up-to-date credit customer agreements and adhere to group policy and procedures.
  • Effectively create and validate customer and vendor records in our SAP system.
  • Process customer overpayments and security deposit refunds efficiently.
  • Approve customer security deposit releases in the Container Ledger Accounts (CLA) module.
  • Collaborate with the accounts payable team to manage vendor records and update the vendor invoice register on a daily basis.
  • Support the taxation supervisor in maintaining accurate monthly information regarding customer withholding taxes.
  • Ensure seamless payment processing by verifying and posting receipts and resolving any discrepancies.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • A degree in accounting or finance is preferred but not required.
  • 2-3 years of experience as an accounts receivable and accounts payable professional.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent accounting skills, spreadsheet proficiency, invoicing software knowledge, mathematical aptitude, and negotiation skills.
