Senior Tax Leadership Position

This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing our tax compliance function. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our tax submissions.
- Manage staff and review tax returns prepared by the team to guarantee accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare and review complex individual and business returns, including forms 1120, 1120s, 1065, and not-for-profit returns.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and assist with troubleshooting issues in tax return preparation software.
- Directly communicate with clients to obtain missing information and provide updates on their tax returns.
- Respond to notices received from tax authorities and maintain accurate records of correspondence.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of US Federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Experience preparing tax returns using forms 1120, 1120s, 1065, 1040, and 1041.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, preferably with ProSeries experience.
- Ability to manage a team and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
