Job Title:

Senior Tax Accountant

Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. This is a mid-senior level, full-time position that requires expertise in Australian tax accounting and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing financial statements for lodgement with the Australian Taxation Office.
  • Preparing Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements for lodgement.
  • Maintaining general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts.
  • Preparing private tax returns, trust, partnership tax returns, and End of year compliance jobs.
  • Researching and correcting process errors that caused incorrect tax filings.
  • Negotiating with tax authorities over tax payment issues.
  • Mentoring and reviewing work for junior accountants.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate of Accountancy or Accounting Technology; Advantage if CPA licensed.
  • More than 4 years accounting and tax experience, with 4+ years in AU tax accounting.
  • Leadership capabilities and interest in leading a team.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Attentive to details and organized.
  • Good time management skills.
