Australian Tax Accountant Position

This is a remote, full-time position that requires expertise in Australian taxation and accounting.

  • Review financial data, including the accuracy of coding
  • Preparation of annual financial statements for various entity structures
  • Completion of annual tax returns within business timeframes
  • Assisting with the completion of bookkeeping duties and BAS lodgment (where required)

The ideal candidate will have 6 years of experience with a public practice/accounting firm offering Australian taxation services. They should possess knowledge and experience in accounting for companies, partnerships and trusts, including preparation of financial statements and annual tax returns.

Key Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must have great attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow process/system
  • Must be proactive, highly organised and self-motivated
  • Motivated to continue learning and progressing in their career

The selected candidate will work from home but must maintain a high level of professionalism and accountability, just as they would in an office environment.

The role requires discipline and commitment to set working hours, use of time-tracking software during work hours, active participation in team and client calls with camera ON, consistent availability and responsiveness throughout the shift, and treating this as a long-term, full-time job.
