Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist

Kobalt.io seeks a passionate security professional to tailor cybersecurity protocols to support client security journeys.

This role involves working directly with clients to understand their operations and develop security policies and procedures that meet their needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist vCISOs in executing risk assessments and other elements within a security program.
  • Tailor security policies and procedures to fit each client's organization.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on Kobalt's security education platform.
  • Design and deploy phishing tests for clients regularly.
  • Provide compliance audit readiness support as needed.
  • Provision, implement, and manage Vanta or similar GRC platforms for clients.
  • Create tools and techniques to automate human-intensive tasks.
  • Document best practices for commonly used technologies.
  • Identify system misconfigurations and provide recommendations to clients.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in Security Technologies, Information Security, Business Resilience, Technology Risk, or related fields.
  • External-facing client experience.
  • Effective communication skills for both verbal and written interactions with clients and internal audiences.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity domains, including Security Operations, Security Engineering, and Information Risk Management.

Achieve Success in this role by staying up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive results and deliver value to clients.
