About the Position

We are seeking a seasoned software engineer to be an integral part of our team, driving process improvement and collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and support features in a highly concurrent distributed system that drives cloud automation and software operations at scale.
  • Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams.
  • Debug issues and engage with upstream communities publicly.
  • Work with experienced engineers to achieve project goals.
  • Coach and develop junior team members to enhance team performance.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated track record of professional software delivery using Go.
  • Hands-on experience developing highly concurrent distributed systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, especially in online environments.
  • Exceptional academic background from both high school and university.
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, LXD, Kubernetes).
  • Experience doing development in C, C++, Rust, or other low-level programming languages.
  • Solid networking background and experience.
  • Experience in the Linux and open-source software world.
  • Experience with configuration management software (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing.
  • Passionate about software quality and testing.
  • Experience with packaging (Debian, snaps).
  • Programming with, and operating, SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience working on distributed teams on open source projects.
  • Demonstrated track record of Open Source contributions.
