Job Overview

The Provider Relations Officer role involves ensuring the availability of trusted healthcare and benefits providers and physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing completed staff work to collect relevant data, prepare presentation materials, review and evaluate application & submitted documentary requirements.
  • Negotiating contracts that comply with industry regulations, applying risk minimizing techniques.
  • Collaborating with other divisions/departments to identify and pursue better provider networks.
  • Negotiating terms and conditions of contracts with healthcare providers, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing inputs and ensuring the drafting, reviewing, and finalization of contracts.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries and issues.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with internal divisions or departments such as legal, finance, operations, and provider network management to ensure seamless contract execution and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Conducting regular business reviews, provider & physician performance evaluations, and attending to/resolving other relevant issues and concerns raised by both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implementing appropriate provider development strategies to foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared success with partner providers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in HMO and Insurance is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Strong client relationship building capabilities.
