Paraplanner Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Paraplanner to support our financial planning team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs), conducting product comparisons, and performing strategy modelling in areas such as superannuation, insurance, and pensions.

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing comprehensive SOAs and ROAs in line with compliance requirements.
  • They will conduct product comparisons and strategy modelling for superannuation, insurance, and pension products.
  • Additionally, they will assist in the setup and structuring of Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSF) for property investment.
  • The role involves utilizing financial planning software such as Xplan, Midwinter, and AdviserLogic for research and documentation.
  • They will work closely with senior planners to implement tailored financial strategies for clients.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure all financial plans and recommendations comply with regulatory guidelines.
  • Furthermore, they will maintain accurate client records and liaise with advisers to refine financial strategies.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a paraplanning role is required.
  • The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of financial planning principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with financial planning tools such as Xplan, Midwinter, and AdviserLogic is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to model financial strategies effectively are necessary.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with financial advisers are also required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
  • The ideal candidate should be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
