Junior QA Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Junior Quality Assurance Consultant, you will play a key role in testing and validating web integrations, features, and analytics dashboards for both customer and internal projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality assurance principles, testing methodologies, and software development lifecycle. They will be able to design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases, as well as collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve defects.

You will be responsible for continuously learning and applying new QA best practices, integration skills, and reporting validation techniques. You will also contribute to the improvement of our QA processes and tools, ensuring that we stay ahead of the curve in terms of technology and industry trends.

• Test and validate integrations between Aprimo and external web applications (client/vendor).
• Review user stories, integration requirements, and API documentation for testability and clarity.
• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for data flows, workflows, and process automation.
• Verify data mapping, synchronization, and error handling between connected systems.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and UAT testing on platform features and enhancements.
• Test and validate BI reports and dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) for data accuracy, visualization, and usability.
• Document and track bugs, issues, and test results using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Collaborate with developers, BI/reporting teams, and Technical Solutions Architects to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
• Contribute to QA automation initiatives as skills develop (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
• Assist in maintaining QA process documentation and knowledge base.
• Participate in regular project meetings, providing QA updates and insights.

• The Essentials
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in QA, software testing, or a related technical role (internships, school projects welcome).
  • Basic understanding of web applications, APIs (REST, SOAP), and data flows.
  • Familiarity with SQL for data validation and analysis.
• Additional Successful Qualities
  • Experience testing APIs or integrations between systems.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms).
  • Knowledge of JSON, XML, or API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
  • Exposure to QA automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
  • Understanding of SaaS platforms, cloud applications, and data security.
  • Experience supporting dashboard/reporting validation.
  • Have hands-on development experience coupled with the ability to lead solution design and client interactions.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts into business value for clients.
  • Be experienced in working with a global user base and collaborating across different time zones.
  • Must be an expert at developing and maintaining positive and productive relationships with clients; impeccable communication skills and ability to understand clients' needs is imperative
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) with exceptional communication skills.
