Job Description

Seeking a seasoned accountant with exceptional tax preparation skills and business acumen to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Tax & Advisory Accountant, you will be responsible for managing client portfolios, preparing financial statements, and advising on tax planning strategies.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, overseeing their financial affairs and ensuring tax compliance.
  • Prepare and complete year-end financial statements and tax returns for individuals, businesses, and entities in accordance with Australian tax laws.
  • Conduct tax research, provide strategic tax planning, and advise on business structuring to optimize client outcomes.
">Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is essential. You must have extensive 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Australian tax within an accounting firm, specializing in SMEs. Comprehensive understanding of Australian tax regulations and guidelines, with tax planning and client-facing experience considered a strong advantage.

">Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
  • Experience or interest in management reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking; familiarity with Fathom or similar tools is an advantage.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across compliance, reporting, and client deliverables.
